
GRAND ISLE, Vt. —Fire crews in Grand Isle quickly knocked down a vehicle fire near the ferry access road Sunday evening.According to the Grand Isle Volunteer Fire Department, crews were called to the scene just after 5 p.m., where they found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames.Officials say the driver was able to get out of the car safely before firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported.Mutual aid crews from the South Hero and North Hero fire departments also responded to assist.The Lake Champlain Transportation Company helped manage traffic in the area while crews worked to extinguish the fire and clear the scene.
