Four Vermont locals with ties earn Athlete of the Year honors
Local Vermont natives who shined on the slopes honored as the United States Stifel ski team handed out its 2026 team awards.Burlington, Vermont, native Ryan Cochran-Siegle won Male Athlete of the Year for the alpine ski team. For the cross-country ski team, Stratton Mountain School alum and cross-country ski legend, Jessie Diggins, was the Women’s Athlete of the Year.Landgrove, Vermont, native and Stratton Mountain School alum, Ben Ogden, took home both Male Athlete of the Year and Best Comeback. For the free ski team, Winhall, Vermont, native Mac Forehand was awarded Male Athlete of the Year.
