Quechee, VT The 46th Annual Quechee Hot Air Balloon Festival returns to the Quechee Village Green this weekend from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can enjoy hot air balloon launches ( weather permitting), along with live music, family-friendly entertainment, food vendors and scenic views throughout the festival grounds. The annual event runs through Sunday and celebrates one of Vermont’s most recognizable summer traditions. Bolton, VT Celebrate the start of summer at the Mountain Air Music Festival at Bolton Valley Resort on Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. The artist-driven festival will feature performances from local musicians, art vendors, food trucks and opportunities for hiking and mountain biking throughout the day. Guests can also take in panoramic views of the Lake Champlain Valley and enjoy overnight camping on the mountainside. Altona, NY The Second Annual Rainbow Concerts will take place at the Rainbow Banquet Hall on Saturday, with gates opening at 1:30 p.m. and performances beginning at 1:45 p.m. The event will feature local opening acts, tribute bands, food and drinks, vendors, a mechanical bull, cornhole tournament and golf simulator. Organizers promise a full afternoon of entertainment and family-friendly activities. Rutland, VT Car enthusiasts can head to the Vermont State Fairgrounds on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the For the Love of Kids Car Show. The fundraiser will feature classic cars, vendors, food, a swap meet and Mobile Dyno Masters testing. Proceeds from the event will benefit Shriners, and admission is available by donation for both spectators and participants. Middletown Springs, VTEnjoy live music, local crafts and strawberry shortcake at the Middletown Springs Music Festival this Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Middletown Springs Historical Society. Visitors can browse a craft fair, participate in children’s activities, enter raffles and explore the museum’s new “Cabinets of Curiosities” exhibit. Admission to the museum and children’s activities is free, and fresh Vermont strawberries will also be available for purchase.
