Children’s Home set to raise adoption awareness with run

WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – In honor of National Adoption Month, the Children’s Home of Jefferson County is hosting a 125-Mile Adoption Awareness Run.

Brandi Post is family permanency parent advocate at CHJS and Madison Holman is family permanency family engagement specialist.

They say no one is expected to run the entire 125-mile course. It’s broken up into five-mile segments.

The run starts at 3 p.m. on Friday, November 17, at Massena High School, and ends 24 hours later. Each hour, a group of runners sets out to run for five miles.
