Only thing we’re missing is a championship.”Some of the names that will draw baseball fans to the park this summer are CVU graduate Travis Stroh and Mount Mansfield grad Langdon Hazen, with Matt Fincher back in his spot as manager. The Lake Monsters staff is hoping to replicate that same success in 2026.”More sports in Vermont is not a bad thing at all,” said Jennings. “We were able to sell out both at the same time. We’re really lucky. We have a really good season ticket fan base that likes to renew every year. We’re pretty much where we were last year and continuing to grow.”With the college baseball season heating up in the next two weeks, the roster won’t be 100% complete for the first road game on May 27, but the team will welcome players in throughout the summer.”The team will be up about a week before starting practice,” said Operations Manager Nick Dilello. “It’ll be a quick turnaround getting the guys here and getting the team together to gel a little bit before the first game.”Opening Day for the league is Wednesday, May 27, with the first Lake Monsters home game on Saturday, May 30, against the New Britain Bees. The Lake Monsters are still looking for host families, so if you’re interested in hosting a Lake Monster for the season, you can email Freda Tutt at freda@vermontlakemonsters.com.
