A crowd of 3,225 fans watched Vermont earn victory for the first time in Burlington with an 8-5 win against the New Britain Bees. Vermont’s offense came alive in the final innings of the game, scoring five runs and three runs in the bottom of the seventh and bottom of the eighth, respectively. Danny O’Brien led Vermont’s offense, tallying one run, with three RBIs and three hits in four plate appearances. The Lake Monsters remain undefeated at 4-0 and will look to remain unbeaten in their next game against the Bees on Sunday, May 31, with a 5:35 p.m. first pitch right back at Centennial Field.
